FANS of new gadgets are waiting with bated breath for Apple to unveil its latest range of highly anticipated products.

The tech giant has kept quiet about what will be announced, but new iPhones — including its long-awaited first foldable handset — are expected to feature.

When is the Apple Event in September 2026?

The September Apple Event starts at 6pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, under the tagline “Surprise and Shine”.

Apple officially announced the event on August 26, with marketing chief Greg Joswiak writing on X: “Surprise and shine! It’s almost time for the #AppleEvent.”

The company has not announced an official finishing time.

Apple’s product launch comes almost exactly a year after Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 range, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Series 11, and AirPods Pro 3 at its September 9, 2025 event.

What will Apple announce in September 2026?

Apple has not officially revealed which products will appear at the event.

But the biggest announcement is widely expected to be the company’s first foldable iPhone.

High-end foldable mobiles generally cost between £1,500 and £2,000, and it’s likely Apple’s model will be closer to the top end of that bracket.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are also expected to make their debuts.

But some reports suggest Apple is changing its traditional release schedule, with the standard iPhone 18 potentially being held back until spring 2027.

New Apple Watch models are also expected, including the Apple Watch Series 12, while new AirPods could also make an appearance.

The event will be particularly significant for new CEO John Ternus, who succeeded Tim Cook after years running Apple’s hardware engineering operation.

Cook remains at Apple as executive chairman after being boss of the iconic company for 15 years.
