Selections based on a good track.
Race 1
1. Philatelic is a former James Cummings- and Chris Waller-trained galloper that has had three starts since joining the Richard Litt camp, and he’s been placed in each of them at this track, Newcastle and Kembla Grange. He is knocking on the door for a win, and this looks made to order. 2. Costabit ran well when hitting the line from well back for a last-start third at Goulburn and can be thereabouts with a repeat. 3. Hitch was placed in his first two starts before breaking through with a victory at Kembla Grange when last produced. 5. I Am Brave ran a better race when placed at Newcastle last time out and can be placed again with a repeat of that.

Race 2
7. Binkou has struck form again having scored an upset win at this track two starts ago and following it up with a solid second here. He has drawn gate one in this and should get a good run throughout. 6. Green Pineapple has also been in form with two wins at Bathurst and Mudgee from his past two starts. He can show up again. 5. Can’t Recall One is a last-start Kembla Grange placegetter with claims again, while 4. Prefer Diamonds is a last-start Rosehill Midway placegetter.

Race 3
2. Power Broker was on debut at Warwick Farm when finishing fifth behind the promising Queen’s Gamble. He steps up in distance for this which should suit and a bold showing is on the cards. 1. Comanche Chief was having his second start when running fourth in the same race Power Broker contested at Warwick Farm and looms as the danger. 3. Gold Earth followed a second at Bathurst with a fifth at Muswellbrook and has place claims, while 9. Warm Front wasn’t far away at his latest start and can get into the minor placings.

Race 4
1. Lucsain is a five-year-old mare on debut after four trials in total and she’s won three of them. She looks primed for a bold showing and can kick off her career with a win. 3. Beyond The Reef ran third at Gosford on debut in April and resumes here after a couple of Randwick trials in which she’s performed well. 9. Pailleron is also on debut and has looked good in both trials and has gate one. 2. Moon Flash was midfield here when resuming and could sneak a placing.

1. Camden Cove debuts here on the back of two recent trial wins and looks a ready-made racehorse. He can push forward and take plenty of running down. 10. Not On My Watch ran well on debut when finishing second at Gosford and should be prominent based on that effort. 11. Slander resumes here having finished second on debut at this track in May. 8. Soviet Storm is on debut and has trialled well on a number of occasions.

Race 6
4. Mrs Flanders has struck winning form of late with two triumphs at Moruya at her last two starts. She has been scoring by big margins, and another forward showing is expected. 6. Lady Of The Castle was a Newcastle winner two starts ago and comes here after a fourth on the Beaumont track at Newcastle. 5. At Her Mercy won well at this track back in July and running last at Randwick and seventh at Kembla Grange. She can bounce back. 2. Shalaa Gold ran well when resuming and has had a tickover trial since failing at Canterbury last time out.

Race 7
10. Seminal is a Street Boss filly making her debut and she’s had a number of trials in preparation. She ran third in the latest of them at Rosehill and looks primed to run well. 5. Call Me Coach is also on debut after a number of trials and a forward showing looks to be on the cards. 6. Never Know hit the line well when a last-start second at Wyong and can figure on that effort. 2. Made In Italy resumed with a third at Canterbury and bears close watching.
How to play it: Seminal WIN.
Race 8
12. Concrete Storm was lining up for his fourth start in a race to score in a Super Maiden at Newcastle when last produced. He finished third at Wyong when resuming and has the advantage of gate one here with Zac Lloyd to ride. She can be prominent again on current form. 6. Glastonbury Girl was a winner at Kembla Grange towards the end of June and returned from a freshen-up after a trial with a third at Wyong. 11. Wallace Station was a Newcastle winner on debut last month and could go on with the job without surprising. 9. Divine Secrets resumed with a solid finished second at Newcastle before disappointing on the Beaumont track at Newcastle when last produced. She is capable of lifting on that in this.
