Gardaí in County Galway are appealing for witnesses to a daylight assault to come forward.
The incident occurred in Tuam on Tuesday afternoon, September 1 at 4.10pm.
The injured party was walking on the Ballagaddy Road towards Milltown Road near the Fairgreen Heights estate, when a dark coloured car pulled up. A man then exited the car and assaulted the injured party, a garda spokesperson explained.
The suspect was approximately 6ft tall. The suspect then left the scene in what gardaí described as a dark coloured vehicle.
