A body has been recovered off the coast of Donegal.
MRSC Malin coordinated a search and rescue operation off the Fanad peninsula, Co. Donegal this evening.
The operation commenced at approximately 5pm.
The search concluded around 8pm following the recovery of a body by Irish Coast Guard personnel.
A spokesperson for the Department of Transport said, “The Coast Guard extends their sympathy to the family at this time of sadness. search and rescue operation is currently underway off the coast of Donegal.
A number of emergency services including the Coast Guard and local RNLI crews were involved in the search.
