A FRESH shooting has rocked a British holiday hotspot just a fortnight after a man was gunned down and killed in the same Costa del Sol resort.
A man was blasted in the leg near the four-star Aparthotel Monarque Sultan in Marbella at around 2.15pm today.

The broad-daylight attack sparked a dramatic police chase along the resort’s famous Golden Mile.
Two suspects were arrested after reportedly abandoning their vehicle and desperately trying to flee on foot.
One of the officers who intercepted the pair is understood to have suffered a head injury.
The nationalities of the alleged victim and suspects have not been confirmed, although at least one of those arrested is believed to be Dutch.

The victim’s condition was not known last night as Spain’s National Police launched an investigation.
A guest at the nearby aparthotel told local media: “We heard a load of shots and then from the window saw people running and the two gunmen fleeing.”
Police recovered spent cartridges from the scene, but the weapon used in the attack has not been found.
The gun is believed to have been ditched by the suspects as they fled from officers.

The latest bloodshed comes just two weeks after a 33-year-old man was shot dead in Marbella.
He was blasted twice in the stomach in the early hours of August 24, around a five-minute drive from today’s shooting.

The victim was found dead at around 2.20am in a public area on Calle Pintor Pacheco, close to Marbella’s seafront and fishing port.
Cops initially treated the incident as a possible hit-and-run before the grim truth emerged that he had been shot.
The National Police said: “The National Police have opened an investigation to clarify the homicide in Marbella of a 33-year-old man, found early on the morning of August 24 with two gunshot wounds to the abdominal area.
“The victim was found dead around 2.20am in a public area, with the corresponding judicial protocol being activated after medical personnel confirmed the person’s death.
“Officers assigned to the Specialized and Violent Crime Unit (UDEV) of the National Police Station in Marbella have taken charge of the investigation to fully clarify the facts.”
The earlier killing came after police were reportedly called to a fight in the same area, where several gunshots were heard.
A vehicle carrying at least two people was then reportedly seen tearing away from the scene.
Sources said at the time they did not believe the shooting was linked to organised crime.
Reports described the fatal attack as the fifth shooting recorded in Malaga province during August.
