Inside Oasis’ top-secret film premiere after-party with A-list guestlist, booze ban for Liam and early exit for Noel

NOEL Gallagher morphed into Manchester’s answer to Cinderella after joining brother Liam at their top-secret film premiere after-party.

I saw the rocker making a hasty exit from London’s five-star Broadwick Hotel in Soho with girlfriend Nina Johnson before midnight — just as the raucous bash was really starting to kick off.

My well-placed insiders tell me the brothers decided to hold separate, low-key dinners after the premiere of their new film, Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, in London’s Leicester Square, before the party started.

“Noel went off to meet up with Nina to eat and Liam and his fiancée, Debbie Gwyther, headed to Scott’s,” my mole explained. “They had put on the party at the Broadwick for their closest friends and family, but they wanted a moment to themselves before going in.

“It was no-expense-spared, with free booze and nibbles to try to soak it all up.

“Security was really tight, with four people on the door and, if your name wasn’t on the guest list, you were not getting in.”

“He’s clearly got his mind focused on work and, with the 2027 tour being announced in the coming days, he obviously wants to keep a straight head.

“The kids did the boozing for them — the lads are all just like their fathers when it comes to their ability to stomach pints.”

Despite his puritanical new lifestyle, Liam proved he still had the stamina to stay up with the young ones, and wasn’t seen leaving the party with Debbie until 3am yesterday.

He’ll need some early nights soon enough, with Oasis confirming their shows at the Stade de France in a new teaser video last night.

The clip, filmed in Paris, featured a Rock en Seine poster from 2009, when the band split up.

As well as the Broadwick bash, Noel and Liam’s teams organised a second party at private members’ club 180 House. Oasis bandmates Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and Gem Archer, along with Smiths legend Johnny Marr, were spotted heading inside after the premiere.

Not everyone made it that far, though, with Everton footballer Jack Grealish and his model missus Sasha Attwood dodging the parties for an early night.

And, keeping up with Noel’s Cinderella act, Jack had a Prince Charming moment — after he intervened to help an autograph hunter who had his bag nicked from outside the premiere.

An onlooker saw what happened and told me: “Jack was going to get into a car when he spotted this guy’s bag had been taken.

“Jack made a point of making sure the bloke was alright after he’d got his bag back and stayed with him until he felt safe. It was genuinely so kind.”

He’s a good lad, really.

DIDO BACK ON TRACKS

She built a huge following in the Noughties with hits such as White Flag and Thank You – before vanishing from the music scene.

But I can reveal four-time Brit Award winner Dido is plotting a comeback seven years after her last album.

And she is attracting a whole new generation of fans.

The singer-songwriter spent the summer in the studio working on her sixth solo record with her brother Rollo, from Faithless.

I’m told they’ve already got several songs for the project, which is well on its way to being completed.

And once it is, Dido is eyeing up a return to the stage. A source said: “It’s still early days, but the hope is that there will be new music out next year and some tour dates.

“That’s the plan. They would be her first shows since 2019, so it’s been a long time coming.

“A lot’s changed since she last performed because songs like Here With Me and Thank You have gone viral on TikTok, so new fans are taking an interest in her. Getting back out there with new music will be a big moment for her.”

It’s the longest gap Dido has ever had between albums.

After releasing 2013’s Girl Who Got Away, it was six years before she delivered her most recent record, 2019’s Still On My Mind.

Now, finally, the wait for fresh tunes is coming to an end.

THOM GLASTO BLOW

Radiohead may have just ruled themselves out of headlining Glastonbury next year.

They’ve announced a run of shows across Australia and Japan in May and June in the summer, ending just a fortnight before the festival.

However, a vow made last year that they will only perform on one continent per year, for environmental reasons, means Thom Yorke. left, and Co are now unlikely to play Worthy Farm – much to my disappointment.

It looks as though Harry Styles may be continuing his Together, Together tour well into next year.

New posters featuring his logo have this week been spotted in London and Dublin, as well as Berlin, Madrid, Los Angeles, Toronto, Phoenix and Rome, along with tomorrow’s date, when he is expected to make an announcement.

He’s currently performing a residency in New York ahead of shows at the end of the year in Melbourne and Sydney.

And with a big Glastonbury performance on the cards for next June, it sounds like there’s a lot more to come.

ELATED ELLIE IS ALE AND HEARTY

Ellie Goulding toasted an intimate gig for fans in Manchester with a pint of Madri on stage.

She raised a glass at New Century Hall on Monday while promoting her latest record, I Know Too Much.

One fan had travelled from South Africa to watch Ellie belt out her 11-song set including new album tracks 4 Seasons, Always Think Of You, Black Prada Dress and For Your Entertainment.

Ellie’s actor partner Beau Minniear watched from the wings. The singer, who looked chic in a black Chloe dress and Prada boots, said: “It’s been a time. But I’m very excited for everything. And I know you guys have got me.”

On her love of performing, she added: “This was the only thing I used to escape in my childhood. There were no other options for me. Singer or nothing.

“This is what I’ve always wanted to do.”

LEGEND & PHARRELL COLLAB

They’re both major players in music and now John Legend and Pharrell Williams have teamed up.

John has revealed he worked with Pharrell on his new album Muse, with the pair co-writing and recording the 16-track record inside Pharrell’s studio at the Louis Vuitton headquarters, where he works as a creative director.

John said Muse, out on October 23, drew on influences from Nat King Cole to Marvin Gaye and Nina Simone.

The new single, Daylight, is out now.

John added: “Pharrell’s idea from the beginning was that we would create something with all of these classic, cinematic elements.

“You can hear traces of me and traces of him, but it sounds like something new for the both of us.”

As well as co-writing and producing the whole album, Pharrell, above, appears on six of the tracks, including Her, Get Back and Next Time.

Celine: My sleep will go on

Celine Dion fever has hit Paris, with fans camping for hours outside her hotel to catch a glimpse of the star ahead of her comeback residency.

The My Heart Will Go On singer was snapped in this grey blazer on Monday, ahead of opening night at La Defense arena in the French capital on Saturday.

But it’ll be a wonder if she’s been able to get much shut- eye, because hotel staff have had to put up barriers outside the five-star Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris to keep her fans at bay.

Celine, meanwhile, is resting up ahead of the big launch, telling those waiting: “I’m trying to conserve my energy to give the best of myself.”

The race for No1 this week is so close just 276 copies separate the top three.

Kasabian are in the lead with 8,692 sales of Act III, while Brit metal band President are close behind, so far selling 8,468 copies of Blood Of Your Empire, while breakout pop star Adela is at No3 with her debut Prima, which has sold 8,416 copies.

STEVIE A WONDER ON TOUR

Stevie Wonder will tour the UK in November to mark 50 years since the release of his groundbreaking album Songs In The Key Of Life.

The music legend will perform at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on October 13, followed by London’s O2 Arena on November 3, Manchester’s Co-op Live on November 8 and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on November 11.

The album is regarded as one of the most influential in music history and features the songs I Wish, Isn’t She Lovely and Sir Duke.

Stevie, above, has promised to play the record in its entirety, so there will be plenty of hits to enjoy if you’re able to grab a ticket when they go on general sale at 10am this Friday.

A RETURN TRIP FOR BEGBIE?

A third Trainspotting film could be in the works, according to original star Robert Carlyle.

The Scottish actor, who played hardman Begbie alongside Ewan McGregor’s Renton and Jonny Lee Miller’s Sick Boy in the 1996 original and the 2017 sequel, said: “It comes past me now and again. I loved it. You know, there are things that I’ve done that have been very successful that I haven’t loved.

“But Trainspotting was very successful and I did love that and I love the character. So if there was an opportunity that came up to revisit that again, there’s certainly a conversation to be had.”

Robert – who has just directed new thriller short film Three – said he knew the audience would be supportive of the second instalment.

He said: “One of the beautiful things about T2 is people who were 20-odd when Trainspotting came out were in the cinema watching T2 with their 20-year-old son or daughter.

“The generational thing has happened. And that’s one of the most extraordinary things about Trainspotting, it’s just kept on going.”

Boy George and his Culture Club bandmates aren’t very popular right now.

The band had been ordered to pay back £500,000 every six months for three years to try to recoup cash for their creditors after their touring business, Mishpocha Touring, was wound up last July.
