PAUL SCHOLES has speculated that there may have been an issue between Declan Rice and Morgan Rogers at the World Cup.
The England duo were involved in a furious exchange during Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Rice and Rogers clashed after the former cynically tripped up the latter as he looked to support Cole Palmer during a Blues counter attack on 83 minutes.
When Palmer sent a shot into the stands moments later, Rogers couldn’t believe that Rice had gotten away with the trip.
The former Aston Villa ace sprung to his feet and prodded his finger towards Rice’s face in fury.
Referee Chris Kavanagh split the pair up to ensure that the incident didn’t get out of hand.

But there was no reconciliation at the end of the match, Rogers ignoring his England team-mate and ex-Villa colleague Ezri Konsa.
Discussing the incident on The Good, The Bad & The Football, Scholes asked whether the pair may have already fallen out with England at the World Cup.

“What Declan Rice did to him was the most annoying thing in the world.
“When people just leg you up when you’re running. He snapped, Morgan Rogers, and rightly so.”
Rogers had been a key Arsenal target in the summer before opting to join Chelsea in a blockbuster £117million transfer.
The 24-year-old had fired the Blues into a second minute lead at the Emirates, only for Arsenal to turn the game on its head.
SunSport’s resident refereeing expert Mark Halsey felt that Rice was fortunate to come away without a yellow card.
Halsey said: “Rice’s foul on Rogers was missed by the referee.
“It would have only been a yellow card and VAR can’t get involved in an incident for that.”

Morgan Rogers made a great run through the middle and was tracked by Declan Rice – who clearly clearly tripped him.
It was unseen by Referee Chris Kavanagh and Morgan Rogers wasn’t happy.
He went for Declan Rice and ended up getting a yellow card for for adopting an aggressive attitude towards Rice.
Declan Rice should have got the yellow card in the first place, which went unseen.
Unfortunately VAR cannot get involved in cautionary offenses, but you would have thought the assistant on that side may have seen it and may have helped him.
It was unfortunate that Rogers got the yellow card, but with the aggressive attitude towards Rice, that’s the way it is.
