Gardaí are understood to be investigating whether a 17-year-old boy who died in a hit-and-run incident in Co Clare may have had some interaction with a group of others in the time immediately preceding his death.
Bryan Lowe sustained fatal injuries following an incident near Clonlara, close to the Clare/Limerick border late on Friday night.
Emergency services were alerted after he was found unresponsive at Cottage Cross, near Clonlara.
A silver/gold coloured Skoda Octavia believed to have been involved in the collision did not remain at the scene.
Detectives have appealed to any road users with dash-cam footage, who were in the Clonlara/Castleconnell area on Friday night, to contact them.
