JAILED mayor Misty Roberts has been released after serving just 90 days behind bars for the rape of a teen at a boozy pool party.
The 44-year-old politician-turned-“predator” walked free on Monday after she was handed a three-month slap on the wrist for the rape of her sons 16-year-old friend.

Elected as the first female mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, Roberts – who was in office at the time of her offending – was found guilty of statutory rape and indecent behaviour with a minor in March.
The disgraced mayor was caught in the act by her own teenage kids who peered through a crack in a window and caught a glimpse of the ‘”lewd and lascivious” romp in 2024.
The city leader was said to have thrown a debaucherous pool party at which the court heard how she drank heavily, stripped into a skimpy orange bikini and and preyed upon her son’s best friend.
Recalling the event, the teen boy told the court: “While it was happening, I couldn’t feel my body.”

The court saw a picture of Roberts straddling her teenage victim but while it may have been a “bad look”, it was not concrete proof of a sex crime.
Prosecutor Charles Roberts said: “A lewd and lascivious picture is worth a thousand words, and that was what was uncovered.”
He said Roberts supplied alcohol, behaved flirtatiously with her son’s friend and later led him to a spare room, where the encounter took place.
The victim’s mother blasted her at the sentencing hearing, saying: “Danger doesn’t always look like a man with candy or a puppy in a van or strangers we tell our kids to beware of.

“This predator has hair extensions, high heels, Botox and other augmentations.”
Her pithy three month jail-time was met with outrage by locals who demanded more serious consequences.
DeRidder resident Kari McGee told KALB: “When it comes to children, we should use the fullest extent of the law.
“There are no excuses when it comes to our children.”
Roberts walked free after a judge rejected prosecutors’ request for a harsher custodial sentence.
Prosecutors had initially pushed for 17 years, but Roberts was sentenced to a 90-day custodial sentence, two 5-year suspended sentences and was ordered to undergo therapy and pass regular drug and alcohol tests.
She was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine, $300 in prosecution costs, she must stay away from the victim and his family and was placed on the Tier 1 sex offender register.
Her attorney attributed the ex-mayor’s behaviour to her 2022 divorce and alcohol abuse.
Defence attorney Adam Johnson said: “It would not have happened without alcohol.
“Trying to be the cool parent in a divorce is stupid.”
