MANCHESTER UNITED have swooped to sign Isaac Konde from Liverpool, according to reports.
Transfers between the Red Devils and the Reds are usually rare.
But Old Trafford chiefs have moved to land 16-year-old Konde from their fierce rivals.
SunSport reported in July how Man Utd were moving to land a trio of youngsters, including Konde.
And the transfer has now been given the “here we go” treatment from Fabrizio Romano.
He reports the formal steps for the move have been completed, opening the door for the deal to be sealed.

Konde is a highly regarded winger with electric pace and strong dribbling skills.
He starred for Liverpool’s Under-18s last season.
The Anfield wonderkid is most at home on the left wing, but is more than capable of operating off the right flank and as a centre-forward.
Ineos have put a lot of emphasis on trying to poach high-potential talent from youngsters.

To that end Man Utd also moved to sign former Manchester City duo David Eze and Karim Cassim.
With Konde joining the pair, it is understood they will all link up with Darren Fletcher’s Under-18 squad.
So far they have played three games in the Under-18 Premier League, beating Everton and Middlesbrough but losing their opener to Man City.
Michael Carrick’s senior team hasn’t fared any better, losing their opener against Hull before beating Ipswich and suffering a gut-wrenching draw at Everton on Sunday.
