COPS have released CCTV in their search for a man after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a train.
The woman was stood on a train as it arrived at a station when a man leaving the service assaulted her, cops said.
British Transport Police said it happened at 12.40am on August 2 as a District Line train arrived at Barking railway station in East London.
Cops have released images of a man they’d like to speak to in connection.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 98 of 2 August.
A BTP statement read: “British Transport Police (BTP) detectives have released images of a man they’d like to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train in East London.
“The incident happened at around 12.40am on Sunday 2 August as a District Line train arrived at Barking railway station.
“A woman was stood on the train and was sexually assaulted by a man as he left the service.
“Officers believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 98 of 2 August.
