Two Limerick sporting stars will hit the fairways this week as they take part in the Amgen Irish Open Pro-Am.
Former Ireland scrum-half Conor Murray and All-Ireland-winning Limerick hurler Gearóid Hegarty are among a host of high-profile sporting names set to hit Trump International Golf Links Ireland.
The 2026 Amgen Irish Open takes place in Doonbeg from September 9 to 13, with Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka expected to feature.
Murray and Hegarty will be joined in the Pro-Am line-up by Mayo footballer Ryan O’Donoghue, former Galway hurler Joe Canning, former Clare hurler Podge Collins, Cork camogie player Clíona O’Callaghan, Westmeath ladies footballer Anna Jones and retired boxer Michael Conlan.
There will be a particularly strong Limerick presence at the Clare venue, as Hegarty is set to appear on stage alongside Limerick hurling captain Cian Lynch.
The pair will bring the Liam MacCarthy Cup to Doonbeg on Thursday, September 10.
They will also take part in a live question-and-answer session.
Weekend tickets for the event have already sold out, although some tickets remain available for individual days.
