A POPULAR Chinese car brand is set to enter the UK market with a new “futuristic” electric SUV.
The start-up firm has proved highly popular in China and could have cars on British roads by the end of the year.
Li Auto is expected to have right-hand-drive vehicles on sale in Europe in the next few months.
That’s according to company founder and chief executive Xiang Li, who announced the expansion plans in a sales call.
The arrival in Europe is widely expected to include the UK, according to Autocar.
The i6 has been a huge hit in China since launching last year.

Its futuristic look and sleek design have proved popular in the domestic market.
It also comes with its own fridge and table while the passenger seat can be folded down to make a bed.
The car’s trunk can double as a sink and can drain water away afterwards.
There is also a separate storage area under the floor of the car.

The i6 became the third-best-selling model outright in China over the first six months of this year, according to Best Selling Cars Blog.
News of the potential new arrival comes as the number of Chinese cars for sale in Europe rises to its highest ever level.
