A person has died after a house fire in Spearwood on Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to the house on the corner of Gerald Street and Phoenix Road in Spearwood just after 6am, after reports the fire had started inside the home.
The blaze burned for about two hours, forcing the closure of Phoenix Road, before crews were able to get on top of it.
“Emergency services personnel extinguished the fire, and an occupant of the home was located deceased,” a WA Police spokesperson said.

Fire investigators and police detectives arrived at the scene about 8am to door knock neighbouring houses.
“The person’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner,” the spokesperson said.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
It is believed to be the second blaze at the same property in less than a week, and is understood to have started in the shed of the house. That fire is also still being investigated.
