FORMER The Only Way is Essex star Ruby Lacey has given birth to her first child and has revealed the newborn’s sweet name.

She took to Instagram to tell her followers that she and her partner have welcomed a little girl.

Ruby penned: “Welcome to the world.. Petra Jean Blundell 01.09.2026 5lbs15oz.

“Came into the world earlier than expected, so mummy and daddy could love you that little bit longer, our hearts are full.”

Ruby burst onto the Essex scene on the ITV2 show back in 2017 for series 21 with fellow newbie and best pal Maddie Hooper.

The ladies were introduced to the group as Georgia Kousoulou’s best friends.

However, after appearing in just nine episodes, the two women were axed from the programme.

A source told us at the time: “Towie is like a revolving door and producers are always on the lookout for new faces that can keep the show fresh.

“Maddie and Ruby only appeared in a few episodes last series and failed to resonate with viewers.”

An official spokesperson for TOWIE said: “There are a number of cast who have mutually agreed their time on the show has come to a natural end for now.

Ruby and Maddie weren’t the only ones caught up in the cast cull as Chris Clark, Amber Dowding, Mike Hassini, Jack Rigden and Jordan Brook were also given the boot.

Since leaving the show, hairdresser has opened up ‘Ruby Lacey Hair & Training Academy’.

The bespoke salon allows customers to get extensions put in, opt for a colour change or have a refresh with a new style or a bouncy blowdry.

As well as this, she’s teaching budding hairstylists the tricks of the trade with her training academy.
