Preparations are under way for New Ross Rugby Football Club’s inaugural business lunch is set to take place on October 9, with two former sporting legends confirmed to make an appearance and contribute to the discussions.
Former Kilkenny All Star, Tommy Walsh, and former Leinster, Ireland International, and British and Irish Lion, Jack McGrath, will make the line-up of guest speakers, as the event will be MC’d by Bernard Jackman, the well-known rugby pundit and former Connacht, Leinster and Ireland rugby International.
The organisers of the event hope it will give local businesses the opportunity to connect and to network in a relaxed, convivial environment, while doubling as an extra source of funding for New Ross RFC, all the while guests can indulge in a three-course meal at the Brandon House Hotel.
Speaking about the upcoming event, club president, Paul Crowdle said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming past and present members of the club along with our generous sponsors on the day, to reminisce and remember days gone by.”
