But what about the rest?
What about the disastrous hike in Employers’ National Insurance contributions — and the self-harming minimum wage rise — that continue to make jobs for youngsters too expensive?
What about Angela Rayner’s spiteful Employment Rights reforms hampering growth in order to appease Labour’s union paymasters?
What about the energy costs crippling industry and households because of Labour’s Net Zero obsession? What about the failure to get a grip on the unsustainable welfare bill bleeding Britain dry?
Labour MPs love to crow that Liz Truss’s infamous mini-Budget “crashed the economy” as the yield on long-term UK Government bonds soared to 4.99 per cent in 2022.

They’re not so noisy since the yield shot up to 5.89 per cent last week — the highest in 28 years — because investors doubt Labour’s ability to service the country’s debt and have been spooked by Andy Burnham’s determination to take Britain back to the 1970s.
The people-pleaser PM shows scant sign of saying “No” to further taxing and spending even with debt interest already costing more than £110billion a year.
If Labour can’t see all this is the problem preventing growth — rather than just some red tape — then they really have no clue.
Troubling time

While terrorists enjoy immunity from prosecution, old British soldiers face a hounding in decades-old witch-hunts.
Those who break the law should be held to account, but veterans who acted lawfully — under government authority, in accordance with rules of engagement — should not face repeated investigations and legal proceedings even when there is no new or compelling evidence.
This pernicious lawfare hits not only those who served, but also the recruitment of future soldiers who know they can’t trust the Government to “have their backs”.
Lose your Ed
NOT content with the harm he caused with his Net Zero obsession, Ed Miliband seems intent on destroying relationships with key allies now he is Foreign Secretary.
He has put the country on a collision course with both the US and Israel with his video attack on the treatment of Gazans, which the US Ambassador to Israel says is contrary to the facts.
