TWO Border Force officers based at the UK’s biggest airport were nicked on suspicion of drug trafficking, The Sun can reveal.
A woman was arrested at Heathrow Airport and her male colleague detained at home on the same day because he was off sick.
The joint August 26 raids have stunned aviation colleagues and baffled irate bosses.
National Crime Agency officers were involved as the woman staff suspect was handcuffed as she went about her duties in Terminal 3.
The arrested duo were part of the law enforcement command within the Home Office responsible for immigration, passport control, and customs security across all four operating Heathrow terminals.
Both have been suspended from Border Force while investigations continue.

A source told The Sun yesterday: “These arrests have sent shockwaves through the Heathrow community.
“Border Force staff perform important duties including detecting and stamping out drug use and importation into the UK.
“The fact that two officers have been nicked on suspicion of drug trafficking is frankly astonishing.
“This has been a complex and forensic investigation, which is ongoing. It has left colleagues open-mouthed and in disbelief at what has happened.”

“We are unequivocal that where unacceptable behaviour is found, it will be subject to robust disciplinary proceedings.”
