THE M60 has closed an entire carriageway following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
Motorists have been warned of long delays following the collision in Sale and Carrington, Greater Manchester.
There are currently two miles of traffic stretching through the major motorway with the carriageway initially closed down at 1.30pm.
One of the three lanes has now reopened but there’s still at least 45-minute delays for drivers in the area.
In a statement on X, National Highways said: “M60 anticlockwise in Greater Manchester between Carrington and Junction 6 in Sale. Lanes 1 and 2 (of 3) remain closed for the ongoing incident.
“Lane 3 is now open for traffic to pass scene. Current delays of 45 minutes on the approach, with 2 miles of congestion.”
