Police are investigating after a man was shot dead in Melbourne’s north on Sunday night.
Homicide squad detectives are at the scene at a public park on Victoria Drive in Thomastown.
Emergency services were called to the address soon after 7.30pm.
“Despite efforts to revive the man, who is yet to be formally identified, he was declared deceased at the scene,” police said.
The shooter is believed to have fled the scene, and no arrests have been made yet as investigations continue.
