AS BRITS enter the last leg of 2026, they may be craving some time off to carry them through until the end of the year.
Even if you have used a big chunk of your annual leave jetting off on your summer holidays, you can still double your time off by making the most of the remaining bank holidays.
With anyone who has a few days left to spare, we have worked out the exact combination of dates to book off to increase your time away from the office.
Your much earned break begins weekend of Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20, assuming you have weekends off.
You’ll then need to book off Monday, December 21, Tuesday, December 22, Wednesday, December 23 and Thursday December 24.
Christmas Day on December 25 falls on a Friday and is a UK bank holiday – another day off.

Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, so you will get a substitute bank holiday on Monday, December 28.
Don’t forget the weekend of Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27 are also days off.
Then book off Tuesday, December 29, Wednesday, December 30 and Thursday December 31.
New Year’s Day on January 1 is a UK bank holiday, followed by the weekend of Saturday, January 2 and Sunday, January 3.
