Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) life was turned upside down in Coronation Street this summer when she suffered a stroke after engaging in consensual strangulation during sex with Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne).
Last week, she ventured out of the house for the first time in weeks for dinner at the Bistro with Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Unfortunately, when Betsy dropped a napkin and then fell trying to pick it up, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), who was diagnosed with dementia last year, made a loud joke about her being drunk.
This massively knocked Betsy’s confidence, and next week, it is clearly still playing on her mind, as a new spoiler video reveals.
In the clip, Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) secretly allows Dylan to visit, but warns him to make himself scarce should Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) come home.
Once they’re alone, Dylan apologises to Betsy for not speaking to her much recently, but it’s clear she’s suspicious of the timing of his visit.

As she explains what happened at the Bistro, Dylan assures her that people understand that it’s going to take some time for things to get back to ‘normal’.
Wanting to keep things light, Betsy jokes that the comment could get him cancelled, but when Dylan takes it seriously, she is understandably frustrated, pointing out that they are still allowed to joke about things.
However, Dylan isn’t in favour of lightening the mood, as he laments how guilty he feels and tells her that he couldn’t feel any worse.
Understandably, Betsy doesn’t have the energy to comfort him, instead pointing out that he would feel much worse if he was the one in her position.
