And at 40 years of age, Taylor somehow looked as fast, sharp and fresh as ever as she outboxed her younger challenger for the vast majority of the ten rounds.
Victory saw Taylor add the vacant WBC crown to her WBA, IBF and WBO belts and sign off as a three-time undisputed champion — with her professional record ending at 26-1.
It was the perfect end to one of the greatest careers in boxing history on what will go down as one of the biggest nights Irish sport has ever witnessed.
