A BRITISH man has miraculously been pulled alive from rubble nearly a week after the devastating flash floods which killed over 1000 people.
The survivor – who has not yet been identified – was one of 48 nationals unaccounted for.
A search and rescue spokesperson said: “We have rescued 118 Nepalese people… 44 are female and 74 are male.
“We have also rescued one British male during this search and rescue operation.”
It comes as a rapid deployment team from the UK arrived in Nepal, China on Saturday to provide support for Brits and their families.
The team, comprising specially trained crisis response staff, will work alongside the British embassy and local authorities.
Over 4,500 people remain missing after after catastrophic flash floods ravaged the region and neighbouring Tibet.
The staggering death toll is expected to climb further as rescuers continue the desperate search for those still unaccounted for, who include 48 Brits – 33 in Nepal and 15 in Tibet.
Only 20 people killed in the horror floods have been reunited with their families as desperate loved ones continue to search overflowing hospitals and mortuaries.
Two teenagers, a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy are believed to be among the Britons still missing.

Others with links to the UK who are missing include an NHS nurse, a Hindu priest from south London who was leading a tour in the region and an 18-year-old from Surrey who had recently finished his A-levels.
The £5 million support package from the UK will assist Nepal’s support efforts.
