A house in a Bray housing estate was allegedly attacked in the early hours of Monday, August 31, as part of an ongoing dispute involving the occupant and two men.
The occupant was recently released from prison. His criminal history dates back to the early 2010s, with his most recent conviction stemming from the seizure of a large quantity of drugs.
Sources said: “He was out on temporary release and was signing on regularly until recently.”
The man has taken to social media to blame former associates of his, with sources pointing to the other two men as their main suspects.
It is understood that the convicted drug dealer fled to mainland Europe recently.
Gardaí believe that the man came to the attention of the two men, who are currently vying to become the dominant drug dealers in north Wicklow.
Independent.ie was previously told that “they like to intimidate others and, as a result, nobody reports them,” a garda source said.
They also remain the main suspects in two firearms incidents, including the shooting at gardaí and the shooting of a man in the Wicklow area.
