A POPULAR homewear item has been urgently recalled in the UK over a serious risk of fire.
TikTok has recalled a batch of candle warmer lamps that were sold on its online shopping platform.
The gold covered lamp was packaged in a white box, labelled as
“Aromatherapy lamp – The fragrance of faith.”
It originated from China but was sold online via TikTok.
An update from the Office for Product Safety and Standards said: “The product presents a serious risk of fire because the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and cannot make a secure connection with the socket.
“During use, this could cause the plug to overheat and catch fire.”

You should be able to return the product and receive a full refund, even if you don’t have the receipt.
But it is always worth double checking with customer service.
It is the latest in a string of recalls, revealed by retailers this week.

Owners of the item have been told to stop using the product immediately.
Elsewhere, three ladies handbags sold in Asda have been pulled from shop shelves after they were found to contain excessive concentrations of chemicals.
The chemicals found can also cause possible damage to the reproductive system if it is found in excess quantities.
Shoppers who have bought the affected bags have been urged to bring them back to the nearest store where they will receive a full refund.
