THE chaotic Mis-Teeq reunion has been dealt another blow with two huge names turning down offers to open their 25th anniversary concert later this month.

Mis-Teeq – made up of Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash – confirmed plans for the gig in May.

The Sun told previously of the bitter clashes among the girls and how Alesha and Sabrina, both 47, and Su-Elise, 45, are set to make almost nothing from their comeback after ‘diva demands’ and lavish overheads.

Now we can reveal that they struggled to find an opening act for their show at Wembley Arena on Saturday, September 12 after music icon Shola Ama and and girl group FLO declined the chance to join them on the night.

A well-placed insider said: “It’s embarrassing to say the least. Mis-Teeq expected to have no issues finding a warm up act as the concert was meant to be a huge night for music fans.

“Shola was one of the biggest names in R&B in the nineties and the girls were desperate to get her on board.

“They feel like FLO are following in their footsteps so it would have been like passing the baton by having them open the show.

“But they all turned the gig down, claiming it clashed with their schedules.

“Those behind-the-scenes working on the show know that the real reason is all of the negativity surrounding Mis-Teeq’s comeback. It’s a real shame and has left the girls scrambling.”

The Sun has reached out to reps for Mis-Teeq, Shola Ama and FLO.

It has now been confirmed that Damage, Egypt, Kele Le Roc, Malika, Gracious Kay and Monsta Boyto will bring a party atmosphere to London’s OVO Arena Wembley.

We can also reveal that things between the girls – who are currently in rehearsals for the show – are still tense, with none of the three keen to continue with the reunion after the concert.

A source previously shared how huge overheads have eaten up almost all of Mis-Teeq’s budget – but there was no sign of cutting back.

The insider said: “Su-Elise, who lives in Australia, has been flying business class with her partner and child every time she has a commitment with the group, which can cost up to £9,000 per person for a return trip.

“They got paid for the Summertime Ball gig but it went entirely on production costs.

“And the media and radio tour announcing the comeback in May cost the girls £7,000 which went on transport, glam and styling and hotel stays.”

It looks like it’s a good thing that, in the words of their hit single, the Mis-Teeq reunion is only a one night stand.
