A MAN has been stabbed to death after a car crash on a quiet residential road – as two men are arrested.
Cops launched a murder probe after the victim, aged in his 20s, was found with a stab wound in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, yesterday.
Officers rushed to Orme Road at around 5pm after being called by the West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Upon arrival, they discovered a crash had occurred between a red Ford Fiesta and grey Audi.
The driver of the Fiesta was found with a stab wound and he was urgently rushed to hospital by paramedics.
However, despite the best efforts of medical teams, the victim tragically died of his injuries.
Det Insp Stephen Ward said the investigation was at a “very early stage”.
He added: “We are working hard to understand more about what happened leading up to the driver of the vehicle losing his life.
“We are in the process of carrying out forensic, CCTV and house-to-house enquiries to establish the circumstances.”
