Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to hide from the public eye after she moved back to the United Kingdom with her husband Prince Harry and their two children.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated from their home in Montecito, California, back to Prince Harry’s home country on August 26.
The family lived in a nine-bedroom, $14.65 million (AUD $20.5m) mansion before they moved, and it is reported Meghan is hunting for a similar home in England.
Despite a high celebrity profile, Meghan has not been spotted in the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022, and The Sun is reporting she is hoping to keep away from the public eye as the family settle into their new life.
It is believed the Sussex’s children, Archie, seven, and five-year-old Lilibet, have been enrolled in a primary school which remained unnamed.
“There are a lot of things to arrange,” a insider source told The Sun.
“Meghan is totally focused on getting the kids settled for now.”
“Meghan really loves their life in Montecito and their home there. They know it’s going to take a little bit of time for everyone to settle in and adjust. There’s excitement about what’s ahead too, especially for the kids,” another source told People.
It is believed Meghan and Harry spent their last days in California with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, as well as other family and friends.
“They wanted to spend time with the people they’re closest to before they left and for the kids to have some special time with friends,” a source told People.
“It wasn’t a goodbye forever. It was much more, ‘We’ll be back, but this is what we’re doing right now.”
