Wexford Credit Union say they are “delighted” to be named as a category finalist at the 2026 All-Ireland Credit Union (CU) Awards, taking place in October.
The awards were established to celebrate and commemorate the hard work, diligence and dedication that comprise Ireland’s “most loved and trusted financial institution.”
The Wexford town branch has been named as a finalist in the Social Dividend Initiative (social impact) category, saying that this particular category and award is “very close to our hearts.”
Their entry highlighted their Social Dividend partnership with Wexford FC – a partnership that goes beyond football, supporting initiatives that promote inclusion, participation and positive engagement within our local community.
“As a credit union, we strive to do our very best to support the many clubs, charities, community groups and organisations doing incredible work throughout Wexford,” a spokesperson added. “Our Social Dividend is one of the ways we can give back to the community that has supported us for generations.
To have that commitment recognised at national level means a great deal to us and reflects what we have always believed in – being at the heart of the community.”
