Drogheda Community Orchestra is preparing to bring local musicians together for a special Autumn Concert later this month.
The community orchestra will take to the stage at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Drogheda on Sunday, September 27 for an evening celebrating live orchestral music and local musical talent.
The concert will feature musicians drawn from across Drogheda and the surrounding area and will showcase the talent, enthusiasm and development of community music locally.
Drogheda Community Orchestra provides an opportunity for musicians to come together to rehearse and perform as an ensemble, while helping to make orchestral music accessible within the community.
Chairperson Ruth Finnegan said the upcoming concert will celebrate the musicians who make up the orchestra and the continued growth of community music in the area.
The Autumn Concert forms part of the orchestra’s ongoing programme of performances and offers local audiences an opportunity to enjoy live orchestral music in the surroundings of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Organisers are encouraging music lovers from Drogheda and further afield to come along and support the local musicians.
