CASUALTY star Amanda Mealing has revealed her late pal Paul O’Grady is haunting her from beyond the grave.
The actress, who played Connie Beauchamp in the BBC medical drama, told fans that the Liverpudlian TV personality had reached out to her.

Amanda, 59, shared a throwback photo of herself with short hair and two pictures of Paul – one of him with an elephant on holiday and another snap of her with the much-loved television host at an event.
The TV star then confessed that Paul had communicated with her to get a short hairdo – despite him passing away in 2023.
Amanda captioned the post: “Throwback to Savage’s first book launch. He’s just told me to get my hair cut like this again.
“Weird one but true. It’ll be in my book. He said he’d haunt me. Ha!”

Just two years ago, Amanda suffered a horror cocaine-charged car crash that ended up derailing her career.
The actress was banned from driving for nearly two years after her Mini slammed into another car one morning in January 2024.
The 10am crash followed a heavy night of drink and drugs, with Amanda saying in May “I don’t have a pot to p*** in”.
The former Casualty star, who played Connie Beauchamp from 2014 to 2021, told the Daily Mail it was the chaos in her personal life that pushed her to breaking point.

“I was absolutely broken,” she admitted, taking aim at ex-husband Richard Sainsbury.
“There were injustices… his behaviour was monstrous.”
The pair – who wed in 1998 and share two grown-up sons — endured a bitter, drawn-out split, even being forced to live under the same roof while their relationship crumbled.
“It was hell,” she revealed, describing months of living “together but separately” before he finally moved out just before Christmas.
Amanda and Paul were close friends for over 35 years.
Following his passing in March 2023, Amanda spoke about their close bond and shared his final wishes for his funeral.
Amanda shares two sons Otis and Milo with then husband Richard Sainsbury – and late entertainer Paul was their godfather.
On the day of Paul’s funeral, Amanda called him “the keeper of my secrets and soother of my fears. My greatest friend… I will miss you so.”
