Gardaí on patrol responded to reports of an attempted unauthorised taking of a vehicle in Naas when they encountered a stolen car which refused to stop
Gardaí are searching for the culprits who used a stolen car to ram a garda patrol vehicle in Co Kildare before fleeing the scene.
Gardaí on patrol in Co Kildare responded to reports of an attempted unauthorized taking of a vehicle in the Carragh Court Estate in Naas in the early hours of Wednesday morning, September 2, shortly before 2.30am.
Gardaí say they encountered a stolen car and signalled for the vehicle to be brought to a stop.
The occupants of the stolen car ignored gardaí and refused to stop. The driver then rammed the stolen car into an official garda patrol vehicle.
None of the officers inside the garda vehicle were injured.
The occupants of the stolen car then fled the scene in the car.
In a statement to the Irish Independent, a garda spokesperson said their investigations into the incident are ongoing at this time.
