Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski facing driving ban for speeding in his Audi – but moans he ‘needs car for away games’

TOTTENHAM ace Dejan Kulusevski is facing a driving ban after repeatedly being caught speeding in his Audi.

But in a grovelling letter, the Spurs winger, 26, moaned he needed his car for away matches – despite not playing a minute since last May 2025.

The Swedish star was caught speeding in his Audi through the Limehouse Link tunnel in East London last September.

Metropolitan Police officers clocked the £110k-a-week goalscorer zooming at 43mph in a 30mph limit.

In written submissions to the court, he was warned he has now racked up 12 points on his license – putting him at risk of a six-month driving ban.

Last week, Kulusevski pleaded guilty to the offence but told magistrates he needs his car to get home from away matches.

He wrote: “I would ask that when you are considering my case you take the following mitigating circumstances into consideration as an appeal.

“My young family need me to drive them to various appointments.

“In case there are necessities to go to a hospital with them I have to be on hand.

“I also drive to work and back where the hours can be antisocial eg. I return from an away game very late at night.”

He has recently returned to first-team training after more than 15 months on the sidelines following “knee patella cartilage surgery”.

It is a huge boost for the North London side, who have suffered a torrid start to the Premier League season.

Writing to the court, Kulusevski added that his “speeding offences were mostly just over the varying speed limits in London areas”.

He added: “However, I understand I was over the speed limit.”

His case has been referred to a sentencing hearing on September 21 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.

Motorists who reach 12 penalty points on their licence can appeal to a magistrate to be spared a six-month ban.

However, they must prove a disqualification would cause “exceptional hardship” if imposed.
