How much is it? It’s a whopping £385, meaning you don’t save any cash compared to buying the products individually. If that’s out of your budget, there’s also the 12 Nights of Naughtiness calendar, which comes in at a slightly more palatable £220.

Who’s it best for? While there’s more than enough here to achieve some solo pleasure, this is definitely tailored to couples.

What I loved: There’s a very exciting choice of sex toys, as well as some products that work as a great introduction to bondage.

What I didn’t: It’s tough to come to terms with the price tag, and some of the products are slightly samey – it’d be great to see some lingerie or a massage candle, for example.

The box looks seriously luxurious and festive, decked out in dark blue, purple and gold – and, as usual, Ann Summers has nailed the finish.

Behind the inviting purple-and-gold doors is a tempting selection of sex toys designed to keep you up all night.

For me, the stand-out pieces are the gold-and-black pleather cuffs and the black-and-gold paddle. They manage to look both kinky and classy – exactly how I like my bondage gear to look.

The Ann Summers Advent Calendar looks seriously sensual – but will it actually hit the spot?

At first glance, the products feel luxurious, and most of the toys are USB rechargeable – a much more convenient and eco-friendly option.

My only gripe? The sheer number of chargers.

I wish someone would invent one universal charger for every sex toy because having a drawer full of cables is getting ridiculous! I hate clutter, so I find all the leads quite overwhelming.

The calendar is heavily focused on toys and comes with orgasm gel and lube, although I was disappointed there’s no toy cleaner included.

I absolutely loved the saucy sex-tip cards and the couples’ egg, which can be controlled remotely – perfect for long-distance couples wanting to come together (ahem) from afar.

There’s also a cheeky bunny-eared cock ring and a couples’ toy (which looks a bit like frog legs!) designed to tease and tantalise your partner.

While a single person could have plenty of fun with this calendar, I think it really comes into its own as a couples’ treat.

We dimmed the lights, lit some candles, opened a bottle of wine, put some music on and settled in for a very different kind of date night.

I’m blown away by this year’s Ann Summers Advent calendar.

It’s made for a romantic night in and packed with enough fun to keep things interesting right through Christmas – and beyond.

There’s a mix that works for both singles and couples looking to spice things up. Whether you’re in a new relationship or have been together for years, there are plenty of toys designed to tease each other.

If you know me, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of a massage candle, so that’s one thing I would have loved to see in the box. I probably would have swapped out the bullet vibrator for one, as they’re already pretty common in most toy collections.

And with cuffs and a paddle included, I think a silky eye mask would have been another great addition. It would have taken the kinky play up a notch while still being fun, sexy and totally non-intimidating for beginners.

But those are minor niggles.

Overall, I think this is a really well-curated calendar, with the toys carefully chosen to make the collection feel complete. The cuffs, paddle and thrusting rabbit are the stand-out products for me.

It’s playful, sexy and packed with plenty to discover.
