HULL have released a statement after deadline day loanee Robinio Vaz was racially abused by fans online.
The French forward arrived from Roma on Tuesday but a welcome post on social media has since had to be taken down after vile comments were posted underneath in reply.
Premier League newbies Hull addressed the reaction, writing in a statement: “Hull City condemns the abhorrent racist abuse directed towards our new signing Robinio Vaz on social media.
“No individual should ever experience discriminatory abuse, and the club will provide Robinio with our full support.
“Hull City has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of discrimination and in the last 24 hours, we have been in communication with the Premier League, anti-discrimination charity Kick It Out and the relevant social media companies.
“We are also working with Humberside Police and other relevant authorities to identify the accounts responsible for this disgusting abuse, so that appropriate action can be taken against those individuals.
“We are delighted that Robinio has joined our Hull City family, and we know our supporters share our excitement to watch him in action at the MKM Stadium.
“We stand with Robinio and encourage all supporters to continue to report any form of discrimination.”
Vaz, 19, will spend the season with Sergej Jakirovic’s side after only moving to Rome earlier this year.

He was bought for around £17million by the Italians from Marseille in January.
France youth international Vaz came through at Sochaux but never established himself fully in France or at Roma.
He scored once in Serie A last term, and Hull will have the option to buy him on a permanent deal at the end of July.
Upon joining Hull, Vaz wrote on Instagram: “New chapter”.

He could make his debut on Saturday in the home Prem clash against Aston Villa.
Hull have shocked many, starting the campaign with back-to-back wins.
They stunned Manchester United on the opening weekend before getting a narrow victory over fellow promoted side Coventry.
Hull also face Sunderland (Carabao Cup), Chelsea, and Newcastle all away from home before the new lengthy September-October international break.
They currently sit third in the table.
